How the Sprayway Stainless Steel Polish & Cleaner PerformedEver since upgrading my refrigerator and stove to stainless steel models about 4 years ago, I've been searching for the best stainless steel appliance cleaner and though there are lots of brands out there, those that perform very well on appliances, are few. I thought I had found the best after testing a few brands but a reader's comment left room for doubt. Of course, I expect to find more than one great stainless cleaner and it's nice to have a range of good brands to chose from, since availability will differ depending where you shop.
When you try a new stainless steel cleaner, you usually have to clean it two or three times initially, because formulas differ and you have to clear the old cleaner residue off before the new one can work well. That's generally typical and expected so I usually plan on a longer cleaning the first time. The same is true of cooktop cleaners. I was surprised to find that Sprayway did an awesome job, after only one initial cleaning to get rid of the old residue. That was a nice surprise.
Though my current cleaner (also aerosol) does a fine job, Sprayway seems to clean faster and just requires less hand work overall, to get a streak-free polished look. It also resists fingerprints much better than any stainless cleaner used to date. Cleaning takes little effort. I simply sprayed and wiped, turned the soft cloth over and polished with another wipe. There's no excess cleaner to work off, since it dries quickly. A weekly cleaning now takes just a few minutes to keep kitchen appliances looking nice. As for price, Sprayway is the best value for the size of the can and how it performs.
